Block Board

Block Board is Moisture Resistant and Boiling Water Resistant Grade. It is made from Meghalaya Pine. Instead of hardwood of unmatched quality. It is moisture free and water proof. This product is made to pass through stringent quality test to ensure absolutely defect free products. All three components of this block board i.e. face veneer, core veneer and wooden battens are well matched. The wooden battens are thoroughly seasoned in scientifically-run seasoning kiln plants and then cut with great precision to obtain uniform thickness. These battens are systematically arranged and utmost care is taken to avoid any extra gap between them.

Strength & Beauty, Unite

The core of the block board is made from solid blocks of wood. These blocks are rectangular elongated blocks/strips obtained from a softwood tree. All these small blocks are of almost the same size and are arranged end to end to form the entire block board core. Then, a top and bottom veneer (layer of wooden ply) is bonded/glued over these blocks to form the faces/surfaces.

Our tough temperature treatment and other control parameters are rare in the industry and helps in getting balanced and straight planks to work with. With a high MOE and MOR factor, Solid Ply Blockboards are suitable for Indian conditions. They have high mechanical strength and are dimensionally stable and warp free.

Solid Ply blockboard is manufactured with imported seasoned planks of Pinewood. The planks are first treated with special preservatives to resist borer, termite and fungi attacks, and then kiln dried at a technical temperature schedule.

Key Features

UTILITIES

Furniture: Blockboard is extensively used in furniture manufacturing. It is a popular choice for crafting durable and sturdy furniture pieces such as shelves, cabinets, wardrobes, tables, beds, and chairs.
